Welcome to Patagonia!
Arrival at Balmaceda Airport in the morning, where you will be greeted by our guides. From there, we will transfer you in private vehicles to the lodge, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast to recharge after the journey and fill yourself with energy for the first day. While you enjoy your breakfast, our guides will provide detailed information about each day of our itinerary. And now, get ready to start the adventure!
Our first day will be dedicated to “Campo lo Nuestro,” with a fun ascent of approximately 3 km on a handcrafted single trail that leads to a viewpoint with a privileged view of Coyhaique city and the Coyhaique River Valley. From the viewpoint, we have the first descent, an old animal trail that takes about 4 minutes, very entertaining and fluid. Then, the route continues through some interior paths of the field, where we climb until we reach another downhill circuit of approximately 6 minutes. Upon reaching the end, we take a well-worked uphill section that feels very smooth. After completing the first loop, we refuel with food and go for a second loop, which is always appreciated as we already know the places. For the most motivated riders, a third half loop can be done, which is a bit addictive.
At the end of each day, the vans will be waiting to take us back to the lodge, where a well-deserved relaxation awaits in the hot tub, with delicious snacks, ice-cold beers, and a delicious meal to end the day.

Get ready to experience a day filled with exciting adventures on the incredible trails of Patagonia!
08:00 – 09:00 am: We start the day with a much-anticipated breakfast.
10:00 am: We will travel 35 km from the lodge to the fascinating place called La Gloria. From this point, we will begin an exhilarating ascent to reach an old sawmill. We will continue climbing until we reach the summit of Cerro La Gloria, where the first special test will begin. This special test was part of the famous Aysén Patagonia rally and consists of an exciting section of approximately 6.7 km of pure adrenaline in a thrilling downhill. After finishing this exciting descent, we will take a break to rest and catch our breath. Then, we will continue ascending for about 30 more minutes to reach a second descent of approximately 5 km. After this second descent, we will come across the historic locomotive known as “locomovil.”
From the locomovil, we have about 10 km left on a logging road that will take us back to the meeting point with the vans. And once again, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy ice-cold beers waiting for you at the end of the journey!

08:00 – 09:00 am: Breakfast awaits us to fuel up and prepare for this adventurous day.
10:00 am: Departure to explore the incredible trails of Fundo Lago Castor. You will venture into singletrack trails with exciting obstacles that will test your skills and provide a fun-filled experience. The main loop will cover an approximate distance of 15 km, and during the journey, you will cross the territorial division between Chile and Argentina, passing through the iconic HITO.
14:00 pm: It’s lunchtime at our camp! You will replenish your energy with a delicious meal while sharing stories with fellow adventurers.
15:00 pm: After lunch, we will continue exploring more exciting trails. For those who prefer a break or a different experience, we offer the option to stay by the lake’s edge to relax and admire the scenery. Get ready to experience a day filled with excitement, challenges, and entertainment options at Fundo Lago Castor! Remember that our guides will be with you throughout the journey, providing assistance and ensuring you make the most of every fun-filled moment in this incredible place.
17:30: Return to the lodge where a traditional Cordero al palo (lamb on a spit) awaits us in our quincho. Let’s enjoy a proper feast on our last night!

Last day, and that’s why we make the most of it from early on!
08:00 – 09:00 am: We start the day with the long-awaited breakfast and prepare to head towards the El Fraile area, where we will explore the established trails. We will enjoy four different trails that offer an exciting combination of uphill sections through forest roads and thrilling singletrack trails with various obstacles. If your flight schedule permits, we will end the day with the classic chicken line, a challenge for the most daring riders.
Depending on your flight time (we recommend the last flight of the day), we will return to the lodge to freshen up and transfer to Balmaceda Airport. Farewells are never easy. Until the next mountain adventure!
